a fix for muumuu that are blue and huhu for being too tutu::often one encounters muumuu that are very beautiful and sadly neglected. most pleasing to me is multiplying the joy of said muumuu. see this example of how its possible to do alterations to the upper portion and add parts onto the lower portion to produce modern wearables. i then offer the restyled upper garment in my vintage shop and utilize the very cool bottom portion for a machinemachine dress. graciously these vintage hawaiian dresses lend themselves to this process and i am grateful always for their generosity. i hope these new garments feature an innate and historical muumuu-ness as i wouldnt ever want to erase these special traces of their previous incarnation. well anyway, i made several of these this morning and was overwhelmed with sentimentality.
