lovely pictures of peru, it looks like it was an amazing trip. Where abouts in peru did you go?
hola:: Peru’s such a great country—excellent food, warm people, amazing handicrafts, beautiful scenery, and fun fun fun. i spent each week of the trip in a different area::: we were able to begin the trip outside of Lima at a cool beach community; then flew way up north to a small fishing beach village called Los Organos, near Mancora; and finished the trip in Cusco, checking out archeological sites and market places, finally climaxing at Machu Picchu…which was more amazing/surreal than i imagined it would be. the country has so much to offer, next time i go i’d like to visit the Amazon, Nazca, more of Lima, Kuelap, and stay at Aguas Calientes which is the town below Machu Picchu. No puedo esperar a volver cuando tengo mas dinero y hablar espanol mejor!
Where do you find your vintage-y hawaii fabrics? like the ones you used in your patchwork/bib post? those look like fabrics I remember from the 70s and 80s.
Hi there:: I am always hunting for vintage fabrics, especially Hawaiian fabric—I hunt everywhere I know old grannies and aunties tend to be. Those fabrics for the bibs were from a major score of quilting scraps that I bought at a senior citizen rummage sale in Honolulu.
