oh I love Noa Noa!:::kind of always a background, yeah-i-know-its-there-but-i-never-gave-it-much-attention, company…until now (or should i say, now-a now-a). I love the use of contrasting colors and bold graphic designs obviously inspired by Hawaiian kapa motifs. Below are some of my recent acquisitions, of course thrifted. These are men’s wear, but because the fabric is soft, drapey rayon, they fit amazingly. Although they have many stores and have been in business for years and years, they do NOT have a website! I even called their Honolulu store to ask for the URL, which doesnt exist………they are charming that way. You can read this one article tho’ (click the blue text below) :
this is amazing: Roz Savage just left Honolulu yesterday on her rowboat to continue her journey across the Pacific to raise awareness of global climate change. It had taken her 99 days to row from California to Hawaii on the first leg. She doesnt have an escort boat and is doing it completely solo. She is fully tech’ed out, so you can follow her blog, twitter, and also the Roz tracker, which places her on a map at all times. Thinking of her courage, endurance, and conviction is so inspiring!
yay for frugality::: something very helpful for those who wonder “where does all my money go?” this free site allows users to chart their spending, budgets, and sync bank accounts—-its ultra smart and nifty.
