dumb/machine
mini project that i am dubbing dumbmachine::::::recently i began a collaborative endeavor with kauai-buddy’s t-shirt company Stardumb….
he sent me a bunch of shirts which i proceeded to mangle into comfy and soft mini dresses and tunics…
i like working with fellow hawaii-based artists, super fun to see what happens!
happiness!
there is nothing like being on kauai….especially at this time of year, when everyone is in town, the air is crisp, and there is ono food around all the time!
small one
a teeny little dress for my niece…..hopefully it’ll fit her—-and her mama is getting a mama-sized one!
almost there
a bit closer to what i was looking for….leaving part of the terracotta color of the clay pot showing and using the white/black for a decal effect. eh!
i can’t express how nice it is to have plants everywhere…i find myself just staring at them.
my little thumb turns green
getting my hands dirty feels so good!

new batch
those stacks of colorful fabrics surely did indeed become dresses…..here are some peeks…….these are all going to a really cute shop called Split Obsession at Koko Marina on O’ahu…….fun stuff in there for all sorts!
eeeeep!
here’re some of my most recent favorite fabric finds….all polyesters, but in different textures and weights. when i get my hands on fabric like this, one half of me is petrified to use them and the other half is super excited to turn them into 3D wearable goodies.
ready, set, sew!
today’s unassembled stacks of cloth that will shortly become tomorrow’s things to wear
my new buddy, Shasa Emporium
Whew!! i finally finished a load of garments for Shasa Emporium at Kahala Mall in east Honolulu…..i am much enthused about this sweet boutique that is packed with extra cute clothing and accessories—-i especially appreciate how they stock limited numbers of their labels and the selections that easily transition from day to night.
they’re housing a wide variety of my...
beautiful day...
had a great afternoon and had great pictures taken of a few garments….thanks friends!
